Hungary, Regency. A Bravery Medal, Iii Class Bronze Grade Archive EATON AS A MARK OF(A Magyar vitzsgi rem). Instituted in 1939. In bronze, lacquered, engraver marked "BERAN. L." on the obverse, measuring 35 in diameter, contact marks, edge nicks, original triangular ribbon with hook and eye, better than very fine. Footnote: This Bravery Medal was founded by Miklos Horthy, and it was awarded to Officers, Non Commissioned Officers, and enlisted soldiers for exceptional bravery in war. It is also known as the Hungarian Medal of Courage.
